Default early saver questions

I have a couple of questions about the early saver program, my friends and I are deciding on what type of rates to book. tried to call this PVP who has me on her mass email list and she blew me off (" I have someone on the other line who is ready to book")when I said I wasn't ready to book and just had a few questions. she has never gotten back to me as promised. oh well
anyway...with the ES program can you pick a specific cabin?? we re booking 4 cabins and would like them to be close to each other.. can we add another person later and switch to a cabin for 3//
Since I haven't bonded with this PVP what other options are there for booking this cruise?? I prefer to book directly with carnival so I can control /access my booking readily, and not feel bad when requesting a price drop..
TIA

Early saver you can ONLY pick your cabin, no guarantees with ES offered.

So, sure you can pick away. The adding a person later might screw you up. If you have a cabin that holds 3, some times they can add a 3rd if ES rates are still available, if they arent then all the rates are going to change to current rates and you would be in kinda of a pickle or have to upgrade, some managed to downgrade adding a person, but it probably will affect the price. I wouldnt book ES unless I was sure everyone was going to go. If its far enough in advance, book the cabins you are sure of ES and the others a regular rate, you can switch to ES rates closer to the date, as long as you switch in time, 3 months on short cruises, 5 on 7 days.

Just dial their 800 toll free number. Whoever answers can help you. No need to work with anyone in particular for anything at anytime.
