Default Disney Dining now 180 days out.

Book NOW!

Disney travelers take note—effective today, the amount of time you have to book dining reservations in advanced has doubled, from 90 days to 180 days.

Disney expert Sharon Spohn—who writes for the Pottstown, Penn. Mercury—advises anyone planning to visit Disney World in 2010 start planning now.

Lol. This makes no sense. When we did our Platinum Package to Disney World in June 2007 I booked all my restaurants the first week of January. It's been 180 days for quite some time at least for some packages.

About a year ago they changed all dining reservations to 90 days, they just changed it back a couple weeks ago. They have also introduced online dining reservations for the WDW resorts and parks. It works great and you don't have to wait on the phone for hours trying to get through during peak times.

I had a lot of problems with the on-line system. It had failed page loads, lost reservations, long delays etc. I learned to confirm the reservation as soon as I had it. Putting it in the cart might lose it.
It was nice however that if a certain restaurant time and date was full, it would suggest alternates. You could do a lot of jumping around and searching without keeping a reservation agent on the phone for hours.
With the free DDP last August, dining reservations were VERY hard to get even months out. Book early and book often.

Wink Speaking of dinning.

Just returned from 7 day eastern this past Saturday. The good news is, I really enjoyed the quality of the beef products for dinners. While the beef was ok, to good in the past, it was substantially better, last week! All of my entree's I would rate as very good to excellant. A step up from the past. Metrowon
