Default Please help - visiting Ft. Lauderdale 11/21-23

We are only in town for a few days: Saturday, November 21st arriving at Ft. Lauderdale airport and leaving from the same airport on Monday, November 23rd.
Will we be able to see the Oasis of the Seas? Where is the best place to see her? Are you able to drive into one of the parking garages at the port and see her from the docks?

Thank you in advance for the advice.

If you are in town and not cruising your best bet will be to view her from the 17th st Bridge. There is $1/hr parking under the bridge and then a quick 5 min walk up to the top of the bridge will give you a good view of Oasis from about a quarter mile away from here like this (cruddy cell phone photo):

You can also try to get a view of here from the North Jetty on the beach, but you will have to figure out parking in the area because it is mostly residential. There are also a few more threads on viewing her arrival which have more instructions of viewing locations which would still be relevant to your situation.

You cannot enter the port parking garages without a cruise ticket. Unlike the Port of Miami, Port Everglades has a gate you must pass through and show ID and your ticket.

Of course, I guess you could say you are picking somebody up. Hubby and I have picked up my sister and BIL at Port Everglades. I don't think I'd try to do that though because you might look strange driving around without a definite destination.

You can see Oasis in the distance form the northern and western end of John U Lloyd State Park. The entrance fee is $6.00 a car. It is a lovely park with a very nice beach. You may also see other cruise ships there if they are in port.

You will have to go during the day on November 22. She will be doing a 1 night on November 19, a 2 night on November 20, and another 2 night on November 22. She will be in port from about 8AM until about 530PM on the 22nd. Good luck!
