i don't know exactly what you are looking for, but when we travel, we tend not to be into the typical tourist souveniers but we look for local arts and crafts we can display in the house or hang on the walls.
When I was in St Lucia this past april, I only had time to shop, after a long day with spensers tour, at the shops at the dock. I literally had only about 30 minutes to find something interesting so I raced from shop to shop and then found a small stall and they had some hand carved wooden plaque's,wooden masks. I purchased a mask and then a wall plaque that was carved about a month before I bought (has date carved in back) of just a local scene.
I think there is a bigger local crafts and produce market close to the ship but outside the gate of the port.I recall driving past it but didn't have time to really go back so the dock shopping was all I had.
If you scout anything out, let me know. I am returning in April and will once again go on a tour with spenser but a different tour. I may just ask him ahead of time, if he knows of any local craftsman or shops to include in the tour. I will email him now and ask and if he knows of anything to let me know!
