rum runners and southwest airlines
Has anyone carried rum runners and flown southwest? They say that alcohol should be left in it's original container....

We loaded up our rum runners at home and placed in the suitcase. No problems with SWA...

They say original bottle because it could be a fire hazard in the cargo hold of the plane if not packaged correctly.
 Just something to think about. It also helps the TSA identify it and if your bag is searched it doesn't become some "mystery" liquid. I would take them empty and fill them once I got to port if I were going to bring them.

We've taken our Rum Runners on Southwest several times. Never an issue.

But, of course, you really don't need rum runners. The original bottle in your checked bag works fine. I suppose there is some risk of a glass bottle breaking though. For that reason, put the bottle in a 2 gallon ziplock so if it does break you'll just lose the booze, not soak your clothes with it.
