This is more a question that UK female cruisers may can answer, do Babyliss hair straighteners work in the cabins on Princess liners?

I assume they will work if you have a USA adaptor. I don't use them but have plugged other small electrical items in using an adaptor.

My gf had her hair straightened in the Spa and she was very happy with it. So that is an alternative if it doesn't work.

They do work with an adapter but they don't get as hot as they should, i purchased a pair of travel straighteners last year but even with a dual voltage pair they weren't that great.
If you're on the Sea Princess then they are fine because they are english sockets.

As a GHD girl, the voltage makes them crap to be totally honest. You can buy some cheap in Walgreens or any drugstore/supermarket for about $40-60 (or dearer ones also, but they all get the right temp) so it depends how many times you are planning to cruise and how important your hair looking straight is to you!
Have a lovely time! x

Problem is, we board in Montego Bay and do not go from the UK via USA so we cannot go to an American store.

Hello
Try ebay, but buy from a US store or the US site.

Have a good time we were on the Sea a couple of years ago, love the sun class ships.

Hi Glasgow
Daughter used babyliss straighteners on the Ruby in July with no complaints - hair was perfect each day. A 16yr old with 12 bad hair days would have been unbearable
We also took a travel hairdryer since the hairdryers on board are pretty poor. Have a great cruise

I use Babyliss travel straighteners with the variable voltage and I struggle on the ships. I just about get by but it's hard work, they just don't get hot enough. I thought I would treat myself to some GHD's but according to Jo London Mum they will not work either, bit disappointed to hear that. Ebay here I come!

Sort of funny story, I fused all the lights in our cabin and most of our neighbours on the Sea Princess with a dual volyage drier, we had a UK socket on the dresser and thought oh great BANG!!!!

Default when you get your bar bill

you won't need anything electric to straighten your hair.

Lol yes the prices and 15% gratuity seems a bit steep. I think there will be quite a bit of wine taken onboard.
