So thats what the stabilisers look like... I swear they had to put new ones on PD after we got off last sept lol... we went through a massive storm and the captain we had (he was great) always tried to make people smile and you know.. bring the positive out in things when the clouds a black, rain is thick and waves coming almost onto the deck you walk on.

We heard a massive creaking/bang/snapping off sound halfway through his update on the storm and I was expecting him to say "Attention passengers, this is the captain from the bridge, our stabilisers have just fallen off" It was an experience... we wont let it stop us from future cruises though.

Having said that we booked our next cruise for 2010 in april this year and about a month ago my family and I were watching our thousand photo slideshow/video journal I made of all our footage... we got to "the storm" and after the whole thing was finished there was silence and then after a minute someone said... what have we done - booking another cruise after that. As bad and as rough as it was looking back it is part of the experience and I will never forget it! Anyway, enough of my rambling.. i hope they have lots of pictures - before and after, etc

There is a teenage hideout area at the back of the Dome which I think they were looking to convert. The late bar when I was on was the Players bar (which is next to the Casino) on deck 8 which I think they have renamed Legends!

Hope all is well down in Melbourne.

Having been on the same cruise as you earlier this year, I will have to slightly agree with your mates that you did spend a lot of the late evening & early morning hours in the dome.

I am sure the Jewel will have a night club of some sorts.

WE will all find out what P&O have done to her, When Some One on here Sails on Her in Dec2009.
Untill she gets of of dry dock and P&O release photos of her or until she sails out of sydney in dec its all Rumours and speculation.

I would like the dome night club but as a mate pointed out all ships need to be diffrent cause you cant have the same thing on every ship as it gets boring.

Got some time off for a few days so booked a cabin the Tickets say she will leave Circular Quay Sunday. 13th December and can board 12:30pm.
