Default Massive traffic jams at Port Everglades!

Now that everyone has bashed this past weekend regarding the Dream in NYC, let's see what happens in Ft. Lauderdale with the Oasis, over the next couple of weeks.

Read Below:

"The news outlets says the large crowds of people and vehicles coming to see Oasis are making it difficult for cruise passengers arriving to board other ships to enter and exit the port."

I hope the Port Everglades and FLL are prepared to handle all those bodies embarking and disembarking.

Our cruise ends the same day as an Oasis cruise in January....wondering if we'll be fighting for taxis. Hopefully they'll have it figured out.

We just got off the Emerald Princess yesterday and saw the Oasis as we were pulling into port.

That thing is huge and to me it looks "top heavy". I have no desire to sail on something that big........but to each his own

I understand that she heads off on a 3 day Travel agent sail on Friday. While I kind of wanted to see her, I'm pleased that embarking on Freedom on Saturday won't be compromised by huge Oasis crowds. Best to all of you headed out on Miracle on Friday. I'd get to the port darn early.

Yes, true that...to each their own......and, BTW, how was the traffic and crowds when disembarking?

Sightseers were not allowed into the Port. 'Inside' the Port was quiet. The Port is getting the message out.

Just think how much more crowded the caribbean ports will be when the Oasis docks. Should be gridlock when passengers head back to their ships. Before booking my next cruise I will check 1st that the Oasis is not in port at the same time.

You should see the new pier in St. Maarten. Scary long. I'm not looking forward to what Oasis does to that island when she shows up every week. I really love St. Maarten but am somewhat afraid of the "too many cruise pax" impact.

I've already done that exact same thing. Looked at two different ships and two slightly different itineraries, and the one from Port Everglades departed same day at Oasis.
Not just NO, but %$& NO!

I'm sailing out of Miami instead.
