Hope the weather cooperates for your beach day tomorrow. I got overbaked in the fake bake today... ACK. A bit pinkish on my stomach and back at the moment, but I have to try to build some kind of a base on this ghostly-white skin. I tan so slowly I'll probably still have to do the spray tan.

You Damn Betcha. The Kindred Spirit is a mailbox hidden up in the dunes on Sunset Beach. Some unidentified person put it there as well as a bench to sit on.There are note books and pens, and people come and go and read whats written and respond to it...or just write whatever comes to mind. Its a very peaceful place,you would just love it.The person who introduced me to it bought me a matted picture of it when we bough our house.One of my favorite things.

Eva, Sunset Beach is right on the NC/SC state line, just four miles from Ocean Isle Beach in NC. It's very nice, too. Little River is in SC and is about halfway between Ocean Isle and Myrtle Beach.

Sounds fabulous!! Oooh we can meet up at the famous OIB!!!

I have a lot of fun exploring to do in the area! I've been to MB, only a long weekend though. I've been to Savannah more than a few times, one of my favoritest places on earth I've been to Charlotte once, also a long weekend. I found Murrell's Inlet by accident because I love to wander off and explore, oh it was an amazing day...I loved them all! Never been to OIB!!

Im not sure.I just yahoo'd Kindred Spirit Mailbox. Its there.Go to about the 5th/6th entry that says VIDEO. It tells the story,has great pictures and has some locals on there talking about it.One of my favorite places in the world...I rate it right up there with the bow of the ship that is sailing into ST Thomas..know what I mean?Its that kind of feeling

I know it's been there for at least about ten years. The first time I saw it there was a heart-breaking letter from a man whose wife had left him the day before he wrote it. His pain and anguish were so painful to read that we both (the Psycho and I) had tears in our eyes.

Little did I know that I would be in a position to be able to write the same kind of letter just a few years later.

Whoever that poor man was, I hope he has moved on to a better place where he realizes, as I do now, that her leaving was a blessing in the long run.
