Default Serenity Rhythm of Rum Tour

I just wanted to comment on how much we enjoyed our tour with Serenity. I came to this section of CC originally looking for something to do in St. Lucia, so I thought I'd come back and comment on how it went. We booked this tour particularly because we wanted to go to the rum distillery, but we got so much more from John at Serenity! We got a wonderful couple hour tour of the island, the distillery, and then we had a terrific lunch at a spot overlooking Marigot Bay. The lunch was unplanned, but one of the couples asked about lunch, and we all kind of thought why not, we were hungry, so John took us to a nice place where I ordered curry chicken, and it was excellent. I can't remember the name of the place, but it is right next to where you stop to take pictures overlooking Marigot Bay, and it has a lovely view.

It was so much different than doing a ship's tour. There were just six of us and John, and we weren't rushed with anything we did, unlike a ship's tour where everything is on a strict schedule. John was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. I've read on other threads that you almost feel like family, and it's true! It was by far the best tour we had on this cruise (Holland America Noordam 11/1/09 to 11/11/09), and one of the best tours on any of our cruises.

If you are considering a tour with John and Serenity, I highly recommend it! The van was new and very comfortable and we had no worries we would get back to the ship on time - which is always a concern of mine!

Default rum tour

I am happy you had a wonderful time with Serenity. We did zipline last time but it seem we should try your tour when we next go over to St.Lucia. How was the rums and which you think was really good. Looking forward to hearing from you.

We were very excited to read this post. It guarantees that we will definitely and truly enjoy our excursion with serenity. We're a group of fifteen and is looking forward to a private tour with no one else but our ambassador. Our motto is to have a swell time and be remembered by one and all. Can't wait to set foot in St. Lucia heard through the grape vine, this island is a must for entertainment.

There were about 15-20 different rums I think, from light to dark and many different flavors. Our favorite is the Nutz N Rum, which is peanut butter flavored. We bought some last time we were in St. Lucia and it is great refrigerated and over ice cream! Other good ones were mango, coconut, another cream-type rum, and there were some other "fruity" ones - orange I think? There is one that is extra strong - be careful of that one, it will make your eyes water!

It was $30pp for the tour. We thought it was quite a deal, since it was cheaper than even taking a taxi to the distillery!

You are going to have a great time! If we go back to St. Lucia I would like to try to get a group from our CC roll call and take a longer tour with Serenity.

Willowoodf, we are happy to gather such interesting info from you. Bearing this in mind we will try our utmost best to be cautious LOL. It is vacation time and we plan to dine and wine as much as we can.
