Default Parking at Port Everglades

Could someone give information on the parking situation at Port Everglades? We are going on the Independence in December.

Thanks in advance for the help!

It is really easy, they have a deck and an open parking lot right across from the entrance to the terminal. Unless the rate has gone up, and I can verify in December, it is $15/day.

Beware if you plan to arrive early. We sailed Navigator in March out of Port Everglades. When we arrived at the port abt. 10:45 we were told at the gate that we could not enter the port area until 11:30. I know the car in front of us in our lane was also made to turn around and leave but am not positive about the other lanes. It did seem that traffic was going through but it may have been shuttles instead of private vehicles.

Anyway, we went back to the Park N Fly lot we had passed between the Interstate and the port, parked, waited a few minutes for their shuttle, breezed through the gate at the port and were walking onto the ship before 11:30. Interestingly, the ship had already begun boarding so other people had gotten in somehow but I'm sure it wasn't through the lane we tried.

When you get turned around at the gate...it means the ship arrived late. Best to go somewhere comfortable and have food/drinks.

But that wasn't the case in this instance. The agent told us we couldn't enter until 11:30. They let the shuttle from Park & Fly in well before that and we were actually on Navigator before 11:30. Boarding had already begun because we went straight from check-in to the gangway so there didn't seem to be any delay on the part of the ship.
