Playa Del Carmen Pier -- in Cozumel?

My friend just checked on Cozumel Insider to see which pier we will dock at on the Fantasy this coming Saturday and it says it will be at the "Playa Del Carmen" pier. Does anyone know what this means? Will we be docking in Playa del Carmen and NOT Cozumel? We're confused! We've already booked an excursion in Cozumel.

Considering there isn't a pier at Playa Del Carmen, I doubt you'll be docking there. Playa Del Carmen is a tender port. You could probably contact Cozumel Insider and ask them to verify the info and that someone wasn't taking a siesta at the keyboard.

I think they may be in error, unless for some strange reason, you are going to Playa del Carmen instead of Cozumel or they mean the Ferry pier, which doesn't make sense.

Looking at the Puerta Maya schedule, it says the ship will be there (Cozumel).

The Playa Del Carmen pier is actually Calica. You have to take a taxi from there into Playa Del Carmen. I have seen a RC ship tender into Playa Del Carmen, but normally the cruise ships dock at Calica. The problem is that only one can dock at a time.
