Default Carnival Elation in Cabo: Which tour uses Tropicat?

I took this cruise a couple of years ago and did a snorkeling tour on the Tropicat, which I loved. Now I'd like to take my family on our upcoming cruise, but I can't figure out which shore excursion to book. There are three listed that use catamarans, but none of the boats are named in the descriptions. Does anyone know which one uses the Tropicat? Is "Sea of Cortez Snorkeling Experience" the right one? I'd be really disappointed to pay all this money and end up on the wrong boat!

Thanks!

You can easily book Tropicat on your own. Just google tropicat cabo and you should be able to find them.

Tropicat has the same owner as the Pez Gato catamarans. Pez Gato is our favorite but you can't go wrong with either. Tropicat has an amazing wine & jazz sunset cruise.

Tropicat doesn't seem to be offering a daytime snorkel tour, I'm guessing because the cruise ships use it during port hours.

Do all the Pez Gato cats have the nets up front to sit on? Do they put up the sails? If so, we will book them, because they're less expensive and look like a lot of fun.

Thanks for the suggestion!

I don't know specifically if all of Pez Gato's catamaran's have the lounging net. My guess is that they would. They have 3 cats (besides the Tropicat) Pez Gato I, II, & III. Each one is a little different and also vary as to passenger capacity. The one we were on for whale watching had the lounging net. You could probably e-mail them and get more specific answers.

Thanks for all the information. I e-mailed Pez Gato and got a nice reply. Unfortunately, one of their three cats has no nets, and as they rotate them, they couldn't guarantee we would be on a cat with nets on our particular date. They suggested I book the Tropicat but said I had to do it through the cruise line. So I'm sort of back to square one, but at least I am armed with information. :-)

I am going to try to book the Tropicat upon boarding our ship...if that doesn't work out, I'll go online to book Pez Gato and cross our fingers we'll get nets.

Thanks again!
