Default rccl 3 reef snorkel tour cozumel

hi, has anyone done this tour through rccl? i checked a couple of tour companies and they charge 50-60 dls pp for a 3 reef snorkel tour but you have to add the taxi fare, rccl is charging 54 dls pp including transportation so it sounds reasonable, my worry is if they go to the same reefs as the other companies or do they go to other less atractive reefs.
for those who have done this tour, can you give me your opinion, were the reefs good in terms of quantity of fish and coral? do you remember the names of the reefs visited? overall was it a good experience?
thank you very much

we just returned and did the 3 reef snorkel tour in cozumel.. the weather was perfect and the snorkeling was great!.. however,,,there was a problem with the boat they used for the enchantment tour.. the beautiful catamaran was given to the pax on Equinnox for the same tour and those of us on the Enchantment were put on a disgusting dilapated old wooden boat where we were crammed in with noplace to put your stuff, plus you had to jump into the water and climb out on a ladder.. not like the catamaran that has the built in steps that was used for the equinnox pax... we complained and were given a small refund.. but that wasn't the point..we wanted them to be aware of what they had done and that the excursion boat was not up to RCI standards and that we were given an inferior boat.. they are supposedly contacting the tour operator and the Miami office.. so hopefully if you take this tour , you will have a decent boat for your excursion....

Default personal Recommendation

For years we have booked directly with Eagle Ray divers. Small boats, personal service, usually no more than 8 t0 10 folks. Two divers with the boat. Owned by a lady from Arkansas and her Husband from Mexico....they are really super folks.
Taxi to/from their location, snorkel tour = far, far below RCI.

Note 'size matters' on a large tour, 90% of the folks (God love them) flop around in the water, fish go elsewhere, kicked in the head, bumped, etc. Small group = far better snorkeling experience

they call Taxi for you on return. Check their web site

thanks guys, i will be taking a semiprivate tour, i am now trying to decide between mystic snorkel and eagleray. does anyone who has taken mystic snorkel know if they pick up at the pier or do you also have to take a taxi to their place, i am trying to avoid the taxis not as much for the extra cost but for convinience.
thank you

Default Cannot help with your question about a ride

but no matter what you do, it is a walk outside, and get in a taxi...they are lined up and really convenient. If you go with Eagle Ray, tell them Jim and Sue from Ft Worth say hi!
