Default What is the pirate party?

We went on a 3 day cruise in March, but I don't remember the pirate party I keep reading about. I do remember the family with us having a pirate photo with their little boy, but I think we went to bed early that night as we had a couple of overly tired princesses. Is this a good event for 4 and 6 year old girls?
Also, is Minnie usually in the registration area, or does the character change? I bought the girls those adorable Minnie dresses they had out at Halloween and thought maybe I'd put them in them for the registration if it's always Minnie.
Thanks!

The Priates in the Carribean Deck party is on deck 9 midships under the Aeriel vision. Its a party that is Hijacked by a few pirates and theres singing dancing etc. There a surprise ending and fireworks that follow.Thats the short version.

No, 4 and 6s wont have a problem with it and theres plenty of characters in the show, and its very enjoyable.

The characters rotate thru the ship thru the different days. Theres a scrolling tv by Guest Services, that tells you when and where each character is going to be, and also its in your navigator.

Mickey was waiting to take Donalds place and if I am not mistaken, Minnie came out a little while later to take Daisys. Ive seen Minnie on CC before and a few other places on the ship.
