Default Balcony/mini suite prices

Can anyone tell me what balcony and mini suite prices typically are in July for 7 day Caribbean? I know what they are now, but was wondering what they would be if you booked 3 to 5 months in advance, assuming it would be comparable to the last few years.

For the summer months 3-5 months prior, what you might find is waitlisted only. In other words, the cruise could possibly be totally sold out for summer sailings. Remember, if the price drops before final payment, normally you can get a price adjustment from Princess or TA's. As long as you haven't made final payment, you could always change stateroom categories by paying the difference (even after, if there is availability), and you can always cancel before final payment if the price doesn't come down to your liking.

There is no 'norm' for prices for summer cruises, they can vary from year to year, and itineary to itineary. What was available last year, may be totally different this year and next.

Yes most summer Carib sailings end up sold out so if you have something in mind book early.

If you wait that close to sailing, you will: a) pay more as prices rise; and b) have few cabins to choose from, if any. If you know the cruise and itinerary you want to take and the cabin category you'd like, book as early as possible.

Other cruiselines offer lots of specials and often have lots of cabins left close to sailing so they offer specials and lower rates to fill those cabins. Princess rarely has that problem; most Princess cruises sell out well in advance or are waitlisted only.

I totally disagree with the previous posts but it depends how desperate you are to book a particular date/ship/cruise line.

The caribbean in the summer is the low season. If I were able to cruise then, I would wait until one month before and then surf my options. But if you are dead set on something in particular, book it and pay the premium price.

The deals are out there but you have to be flexible.
