I am hoping to be on the Liberty for a western in April. Anyone on there recently? Could you give me an idea of what kind of nightly entertainment they had? I mean like comedians, magicians and the like.
Thanks in advance... Bette |

Well it doesn't really matter since everything but the production shows (by the RCCL Singers & Dancers) changes. There'll be a show where they're like fairy tale characters come to life or something (didn't go to it) and a fairly extravagant but fairly boring show on the final night where they're art paintings that come to live and do a musical revue.
We had a comedian (never been on a ship without one) and a guy who did...well it's hard to describe. But he had a giant thing that he spun around and danced with...really hard to explain, haha. There'll also be one ice show (don't miss it) that'll be performed four times during the week. Each lounge have a singer or band or something, usually playing nightly. Not sure what'll be going on in the Schooner Bar, but we had the FABULOUS Kory Simon, who's a brilliant singer and pianist and EXTREMELY funny. You kind of sing along with him. The most fun we had on the cruise. We were there for all of his sets (he performed 6 of the 7 nights), but he's done with his Liberty contract in Jan.

Like AmyBeth4 said entertainment could be anything. You can email them 45-60 days out (as long as you have a reservation) and they will tell you what the entertainment is.
Whether you like the shows is a matter of taste. We were on Freedom two weeks ago and the "fairy tale" show was called "Once Upon a Time" and was wonderful. There was another production show earlier in the week called "Marquee". In over 20 RCCL cruises these were two of the best shows we had seen. Our cruise was 'heavy' on magicians in the theater and RCCL has really cut back on bands and musicians. Everyone in our group agreed the ice show wasn't good, we had all seen better. Sailing mid-January on Monarch and am anxious to see what entertainment will be offered on the smaller ship. We just booked this cruise and I emailed them yesterday asking who it will be, but haven't heard yet.

Thanks for your help. We were on the Mariner back in 2006 and saw the ice show. Thought it was wonderful. We want to see that again.
Do you have the email address that I could find out the entertainment ahead of time? Thanks again... |

On one of the Freedom class ships Pre-Inaugruals There was an Ice show where the couple changed costumes many times while skating.
I watched them rehearsing and the actual show and still could not work out how they done it. Is anyone aware if they are still on Rccl if so which ship

There was a completly different ice show on LOS in late Sept. It was one of the two best I have seen. One of the Ukranian skaters completed 3 triple jumps...on a moving ship!!
