Question Seaworld Explorer Semi Submarine

Has anyone done this tour? Want to see the Bahamas sea life, but unable to take a snorkel tour.

I did it on a land trip either last year or this year. I really enjoyed it, as did others in my family.

I don't know your reason for not being able to snorkel, but if it is due to a disability, know that this tour isn't wheelchair-friendly. You first go on a boat - and when we did it, the boat was pulled up to a sea wall and we took a big step down from the sea wall into the boat (and vice versa at the end of the trip) - that takes you out to the semi-sub while they point out the homes owned by famous ppl (Oprah, Chuck Norris, the Starbuck's guy, etc.). Then the boat pulls up next to the semi-sub and you transfer - not a huge step up or down that I recall, but not real fun if you're scared of falling in the water either! Then you go down a set of stairs into the bottom of the semi-sub where you grab an individual seat by a window.

The tour guide was funny in a rolling-your-eyes type of way (but some things he said weren't too kid-friendly...). On our tour, there was only one other family, so it was almost like a private tour and we moved around from window to window to see the different sides and stuff.

I love animals, so I really liked it. I'd do it again and I'm likely to on my next trip.
