We were parked the farthest of all the cruise ships, and I think it was about fifteen minutes or so. It's a pretty easy walk.

Ok thanks! With the recent robbery of cruise ship passangers in Nassau we don't want to be out and about the streets for too long.

The walk from the ships to senor frog's is a very easy walk through an area that is full of fellow cruisers. It is just past the straw market and can be seen from the ship.

We were on the Navigator in Nassau on November 20th and walked everywhere and never felt threatened. The robbery was unfortunate and I am sure it was stressful for those involved but don't let that rare occurance stop you from enjoying yourself. If you look, you are probably in more danger in Miami going to the ship than most of the ports you go to. Have a great time.

Thanks Blackie!!

Ok then sounds like a go!

We feel more comfortable walking in areas with other cruisers around.

And yes a Robbery can happen everywhere and anywhere.

Thanks!

I was taking at taxi to the Wyndham last May and because of construction the cab detoured thru what I would describe as an "iffy" area and what do I see out my window? Yep, it's the "compound" where the Segway cruisers were learning how to drive one before going on a tour... Now granted about 3-4 blocks away it was beachy and nice BUT if a tour bus dropped me off I'm not sure I would get off - and I'm not a small man. Just a comment and suggestion that you stay on the "beaten" path. As for Nassau being safe, stay in tourists areas and you will be fine.
