Default What does waitlisted mean???

Hi! I'm trying to book our first cruise for October next year and at the moment it says that the first sitting is waitlisted. Does that mean that it is full or is there a possibility that we could still get the first sitting if we wanted?

Hoping someone can help!

Currently it is full....but that will be changing.....and people will drop off (canceled bookings) and you will move up the list.

It actually does not mean it is full, if you are booking Carnival. It means they havent yet assigned your dining.

Princess means full (or it used to last time I booked Princess), Carnival means not processed. ALL bookings on Carnival, the dining time shows as waitlisted right after you book. It will change closer to your cruise.

So, it depends on the cruiseline what it means.

This far from sailing there are likely to be a number of cancelations which will free up space in the dining room for you.

We've been wait-listed a number of times on cruises, especially when we book close to departure date. If we don't move up the list and get the time we want, we see the dining room maitre d' shortly after boarding. We have always gotten desired dining time once on board.

The odds are great of being able to get the time you want once you've boarded...if not on the 1st evening, at least by the 2nd! Folks are always trying to change their dining times once they board and they will do their best to accomodate you.
