11/29 Carnival Splendor delayed

Just got a call that I then verified with Carnival that the sailing is delayed because of a "medical emergency".
Passengers are asked not to turn up at the pier until after 5pm tomorrow. There is no scheduled time for it to set sail.
Also no explanation as to what the medical emergency is or was. Almost certainly means we will arrive in Vallarta late.

I think it's great that you are getting a heads up regarding the delay. People already in transit may not get the message and may be in for a shock tomorrow

Medical emergency would come under the heading as confidential

Have a great cruise and be thankful the medical emergency is not your own.

There a couple other threads on the Carnval page, it was the captain that had a heart attack and they had to return to take him to Cabo so are about 6 hours behind schedule. Someone on board said they have been told they'll be to Long Beach at 1:00.

sorry to change the subject..but, if your delayed..with they charge you for a extra day of parking?

I'm sure they would, I don't think the parking lot ticket takers care that the ship was late.
