OK, so we're scheduled to board Destiny next Thursday morning (12/10), scheduled itinerary Key West and Cozumel. I know there are some challenges right now with prop. engines and what-not, and I will be OK with the port changes, we didn't book this cruise with the ports in mind. But I would like to know where we are likely to go on what days, so I can do a little research. Thanks everyone!!

I would think you would be able to make Key West at least.
It looks like they have been porting in HMC and Nassau.

We are sailing in April and I've been trying to keep an eye on this. From what I have seen it's usually the stop at Grand Turk that gets missed/changed. I'd also love to hear an update. Thanks!

If Grand Turk, and Jamaica/Grand Cayman continue to get bypassed, Carnival will suffer horribly in bad press and future repeat customers. I think this issue will be history by the time your cruise happens.
While I'm totally sympathetic to the people who have had their vacations totally changed (I may still be one of them), I also believe that Carnival isn't exactly enjoying this either. Every cruise this continues, every thread on the internet is gutting their reputation. They are, and will do whatever it takes to get this fixed as soon as possible. It might be one of those things where everytime you try one thing, something else happens. I've had that a few times myself. Some mechanical issues are more complex and the people who are experts might be few. They are on hand now I've heard. I would be shocked if more than one cruise between now and the end of January has their ports of call changed due to this issue. I can dream right? Yeah, I'm sure Carnival is ready to have it behind them. As for me and (especially) my hubby, I think he would turn sommersaults if the itinerary was changed to the Bahamas or HMC. That'd probably be a new one for them!!

I totally agree with Orion. I think that Carnival is all over whatever issue the Destiny had (or even may still have - who knows?). If things continually go wrong, it will be bad for them. They don't want that bad press. There are way too many lines out there ready to pick up the slack!
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised at all if the engineers were permanent fixtures on this ship for the next month or so. I do hope they aren't needed again and that all of you with future cruises, me included, have a great cruise - no matter what! With all of that said, if they really want to send me to HMC, I won't complain ![]() Miriam

True. The mechanics and engineers from Finland will probably be given permanent quarters on board until spring when they might try for a dry dock. While itinerary changes may be rare going forward, I think extra port time will be standard while they do their inspections and "tinkering". (Not a big deal at all!
