Default With ES price drops ALWAYS take a screenshot!!

I am not happy.. every other time I took a screen shot of the price drop. This time I completely forgot. The inside dropped to $489 with ONE cabin available. The TA who was there instead of my normal TA (she was on the Dream) sent in the price drop form for $489 and then Carnival creditted it back to $519.. NOT the $489 I saw. And of course, the last cabin was gone

My balcony cabin was reduced and the new price given on my cruise documents but they still havent creditted the last $30 in OBC to me so my TA is just going to cut me a check. They did honor that price drop though.

My advice, when you see a drop, ALWAYS take the screenshot to have just in case! Lesson learned.. at $60!

Two ES price drops never had a problem. Never took a screen shot. Just lucky I guess. Sounds like you got everything due you in the end. Have a great cruise.

The ES price drop has been tricky for us. We are booked for OV on the Valor for January 17th. Finally over the weekend we saw a price drop. It was only $10 per person for guest 1 & 2, but hey $20 OBC is better than nothing. My inlaws are also sailing with us and are in the same type of cabin and category.

Yesterday morning I submitted the form for my inlaws. They were given the credit. I was busy and didn't get to submit mine until later in the day. I received an email denying my credit.. So I will call my PVP and go that route.

No biggie really. Just my experience. $20 is in no way a deal breaker of any kind.

On my computer its upper case, so I hit the print screen key with my right hand and the upper case/shift key and the alt key with my left hand all at the same time. Then I open Paint (under accessories on all computers made if you have windows), and I paste it into paint, then I click save as, and the pop up, I change it to jpg, then I name it and save it some place convenient, like desktop so its easy to get to, if I want to email it. when Im done with it, I drag and drop it into the trash can on my desk top.

some people use word to save it, but if the person you send it to doesnt have that program, they cant open the file, so I use paint, everyone can open a jpg file, like a picture file.

I always book direct. When I've seen a price drop, I send the form immediately.

Have never had a problem.......

Thanks (sincerly) for the explaination, Fire, but I'm not that computer savoy-it's like reading a foreign language, but that's me. I, myself. just print the page showing the prices. If I needed proof later, I'd at least have that, and I suppose I could fax it to CCL, if I needed to.

You can do it! I do it a bit differently. To get a screenshot of your entire desktop, simply hold the Control & Print Sceen buttons down at the same time. Then open a new email or blank Word document and click on Paste (either right click, then Paste or click Edit, then Paste).

To get a screenshot of one Window or screen only, hold these three buttons down: Control, Alt & Print Screen. Then do the Paste thing into a blank document. I bet you can do it!

This is my first ES booking on Carnival. Is the only place to check for a lower price on the Carnival site itself? Where do you all check...?

For the experts - Do you think I'll have any chance for a credit with an OV in June?

Thanks! Cheryl

I should have said a OS for Ocean Suite.

I have $680 in OBC showing in my 2 documents... so I havent had an issue until THIS. The TA said that she did receive the email back confirming the drop on the balcony and that they would recall back part of her commission for the OBC. The documents for that room show the correct cruise fare. But she is willing to give me the $30 since Carnival isnt taking back the commission yet. The inside is my problem. Heck, $60 is a lot of drinks! Thankfully the rep DID see the price I saw on that day. I submitted a rate drop form and so did my TA. The rep "said" he noted my account that it is there for that price on that day... So we shall see. I am going to book direct from now on so I can do my own drops.

Carnival knows when they reduce prices. It should be enough to simply state I say cabin category X at price Y at time Z. That should be enough for them to verify your claim. I don't think they need a screen shot as proof, do they?

Well I think if I had it I would have more of a leg to stand on. The price of $489 has been that way since I saw it on 11/13. On that day, past guest was 4A-4H.. the one cabin left went in a matter of 2hrs! Then it became 4A-4G later that night. Now its 4A-4F but still $489.. so I am hoping that they can see on 11/13 it WAS $489 with one 4H available to compare. He said he saw it on that day.... but I am sure if I call 2 more times, I will get 2 different answers

I followed your instructions, but I must have pressed a wrong button-the computer started making noises, vibrating, smoking=crash.........Not really. I tried it your way and it worked, no prob! Thanks!

I have a laptop, so it's a little different for me....and to take a screen shot, I have to hold down the function key, (bottom left) and Ins(PrtSc) key (top right). That is how it is on my keyboard, yours may be different.
I have paint opened up, and then just select edit, paste...

worked great! Didn't know I could do that type of thing! THanks for teaching me something new today!

I can't believe I've been missing this function for so long. Great advice!

Thanks.
