Default Sail and Snorkel Excursion--Island Princess

Has anyone done this excursion? The description of the excursion says it lasts from 8am to 11am (because the ship is in port only a few hours). How much time is actually spent snorkeling?
We were in Aruba for a week a few years ago and snorkeled at Boca Catalina and at the shipwreck and we enjoyed both. We'd like to go back for more snorkeling, but if most of the 3 hours is spent in transportation and not snorkeling, we'd just as soon pass.
Thanks for any info on this excursion!

Thumbs up Last year on the Sea Princess

Yes, we did this tour last year & it was pretty good.

We did 2 stops & one was over a wreck which was a new experience for us. I can recommend this excursion with an 8 out of 10.

Hope this helps.

We took this excursion last December. It was just okay. The catamaran was crowded (which lots of ship's excursions are, so it wasn't a surprise, just uncomfortable). We snorkled at two stops; I did only the first one because the number of people on the boat meant a lot of time was spent getting people off and on at each stop. I'm not sure what the second stop was, but most people came up covered in oil--on their skin, hair, and suits. The trip back to the ship was spent with people pointing out oil stains on each other.

I'd give it a 4 out of 10.
