Default 1st Time RCL Mexican Riviera

Hi everyone;

My boyfriend and I are going onto a 10-day Mexican Riviera cruise out of San Diego on Jan 22 with Royal Caribbean (Radiance of the Sea) and we are a bit confused about the drink package/policy RCL has.

According to RCL's website and here I quote:
"The Juice package offers an opportunity for guests sailing with Royal Caribbean to order Minute Maid juices in various package sizes (6, 8 and 12 bottles) and flavors at a discounted value, pre-cruise. Every juice bottle is 15oz. The flavors are orange juice, apple juice and ruby red grapefruit (flavors may change based on itinerary). If ordered online, the juice package will be placed in your stateroom on the date you requested. If purchased onboard they will be delivered within 24hrs. Juice bottles can also be purchased on an individual base at any bar."
My boyfriend is an OJ monster, he drinks a big glass first thing in the morning ... I have been on cruise before (Princess) but seem to recall if you go to the buffet or dinning room, juice is included ... We don't need freshly squeezed or anything fancy, Minute Maid will just do the job.

So does anyone know if we need to purchase the juice package? Will there be juice at buffet and/or dining room? It seems a bit silly to have to carry a bottle of juice yourself to the breakfast ...

Same thing for pop I guess, I only drink pop with my meal, do I need to buy a pop pass?!

Cheers,
GMUFC

That package is for the little bottled juices. Yes, OJ and I think Apple Juice is available for breakfast. You can also buy fresh squeezed although I haven't found it necessary.

The soda pass is up to you. A can of soda is $2 something. If you drink more than 3 sodas per day, you want to get the pass. They give you a nice insulated cup. You'll also get a sticker on your card in case you've left your cup in your room. I don't drink much soda, instead I stick to iced tea or lemonade (which is free). DH on the other hand, drinks lots of sodas daily. He always get the package. I believe it's $6 per day for the length of the cruise.

I recently went on a 7 day mexican riveria cruise on RCCL and the juices were free in the buffet and dining halls. I think the package is only fi you want to take juice with you on shore. We even ordered breakfast to the room in the morning and got juice so I would say dont waste your money on the boxes. As for soda, if you are only drinking it at meals it mightnot be worth it....

happy cruising
