Default Ziplining in Roatan...South Shore the best ??

Hi there everyone.

Just wondering if anybody had any reccommendations for ziplining in Roatan. There seems to be a few places to do this. We are looking for the most exhilerating experience with the longer style ziplining...also how do they compare to say Jungle Breezes in Costa Rica (Puerto Limon) ??. Any info would be gratefully appreciated.

Happy sailing...

Pip.

Haven't been to Costa Rica, but have been to South Shore zip. It's great. Several long runs up to 800 feet or so. Some short runs too. You're up 40-100 feet over the jungle floor. Cables are very secure. Guides are very helpful. At the end you traverse a swinging footbridge to where a van will pick you up and take you back to the start area. Bring tip money with you on the zip to give the guides before getting into the van. Beer/soft drinks at the start area.

How much do you suggest tipping the guides?

We tipped the zip lines guides $5 each, but we only had 2 $5s and some singles. Our other cash was in $20s .

Would you say that this is the best island for Zip Lining? Other ports are: Grand Cayman, Belize and Cozumel...

Leaving this Sunday and am still unsure about which shore excursions on which port.

Thanks for any advice!

These guys were awesome..this was definately the highlight of our trip.. After, thet took us to Fosters Beach which was gorgeous! Kids loved it. We walked next door to Mayan Princess, which was nice too.

How was the snorkeling at Fosters? How long did you get to stay at the beach and did you get to use the facilities at Fosters,ie beach chairs, etc?
