Default Ft Lauderdale Accomodations

Going on the Dream May 15th. Want to Fly into Orlando on the 14th. Anyone know best place to stay by Port Canaveral and transportation from airport to hotel and then to cruise ship? Left from Ft Lauderdale in November and that was a breeze. Thanks for any help

Confused. Are you looking for FLL or PC?

Your subject line says Ft. Lauderdale, but sounds like you are leaving from Port Canaveral. there arent any hotels in Port Canaveral that will have transportation from the airport in Orlando, you will have to get a shuttle or rent a car.

To my knowledge....since the airport is about 45 minutes from the port...there are no PC hotels that will provide a free shuttle from the airport.

Most folks rent a car (and I am assuming that they are not charged the "dropped off at a different location fee") and the car rental place will drop them at the port for free....

Default Budget Rent-a-Car

Last time we sailed out of Port Canaveral, we rented from Budget at the airport, drove to the port hotel, and then the next morning dropped the car off at the Budget in Port Canaveral and they provided a complimentary shuttle to the port.

On the way back, we just opted for Carnival transfers, but many people did the same thing in reverse...rented a car to drive back to the airport using the Budget shuttle to get over to the rental car location.

You should look at the East Coast Homeports- Florida departures board. Look for the thread 'I Work in Port Canaveral' The folks there do an amazing service answering questions like yours about cruising from PC.
