It's still a shame you think 'carnival wasn't much help with the too bad you lose' comment. Seems it had nothing at all to do with Carnival..some other passenger took your bag. What would you have expected Carnival to do? If they had given you some free money would you have sent it back once your suitcase was returned? (Truthfully)

I always wonder what exactly it is that people think the cruise line 'should' do in this type of situation.

The same thing happened to us when we got off our Spirit cruise out of San Diego...One of our bags was miising and it have a bright yelow pom-pom attatched to the top handle..We searched everywhere and turned in a lost baggage claim with Carnival...When we got home we had a message on our answer machine that our bag was in Los Angelas...They said the porter put our bag on their baggage cart by mistake and they didn't see it till they got to their car outside the terminal...Their TA sent it back to us by DHL and we got it about a week later....Dennis

Today - a Christmas miracle a little late - the person that took the bag mailed it with all our expensive clothes in tact. Restores your faith in your fellow man (although I wonder why it took 3 weeks to send it off) - Not complaining - just happy to have our posessions returned.
I don't think calling you loose was very nice of them.

Reminds me of my 2nd cruise out of Port Canaveral. We got off the ship in one of the last groups and my suitcase was not there! Filed a report at the port and luckily were staying a few extra days in Cocoa Beach. Bought a new bathing suit at Ron Jon's then DH checked messages at our home.

Apparently someone who was flying out of Orlando picked up my bag and put it on the shuttle bus, but then when they got there realized it wasn't their bag. The driver from the shuttle bus left the message "Well, ma'am, I guess you got off the bus and forgot your suitcase!" Um, no, my suitcase went to Orlando without me! LOL It came back on the bus and I had it by the end of the day, PLUS I got a new bathing suit!
