Default Triumph Dinning Rooms

I am booked for the 01-04-10 sailing on the Triumph. Any opionions out there (ha ha) on which dinning room you like best. Paris or London. I have really enjoyed the Monet on the Conquest in the past.

I have been in both and found that getting to the Paris Dining room can be kind of tricky to find the first few days. I think the London Dining room is a little bit bigger. They both are nice though. I really have no preference.

London is midship so maybe a little less motion....and yes London is easier to find.

Doesnt it mostly depend on cabin location as to where you will be for dinner..

Comparing Triumph to Conquest The London is in the same location as the Renoir while the Paris is in the same location as the Monet. If you enjoyed the Monet you may want to dine in the Paris.

While it may seem logical that dining room assignment is dictated by cabin location, it doesn't work that way, at least not for everyone. We can't find any rhyme or reason to it over many cruises. If we prefer a different time/place from our assignment we just ask the Maître'D.

I prefer the rear dining rooms for the three sides of windows.

We had the back dining room Paris, and I did NOT like it near as much as Monet on Conquest because it was very closed in. We were behind a barrier, so we couldnt see the singing and dancing. We were in a booth and by ourselves behind the barrier. We were on the 2nd level which was not open like Monet.

We went in December, 6 pm dinner, and it was pitch dark by the time dinner started. ... usually I love to watch the sun set during early dinner, not out of New Orleans in the dining room at 6 pm this time of year.

We were in the Paris as well and we had the front table as soon as you walk in... nothing like BEING on display..

We felt hidden, the booth the seats were too low, the next booth was empty, no one came to share the booth, just us, next to the station where they put the food. We asked to be changed for the next cruise. Didnt like where we were by ourselves behind the wall. If we could have seen out that would have been a redeeming feature, but nooooooooo!!!

we had a cabin just outside the mid ship elevators and our dining room was london...to top it off we had the very very back of the ship window (yes, leaking the first night) arched over us. the part that really cracked me up is there was 6 of us traveling together , two of which was children, so we all paraded in and out together. so being at the door and on display would of been ok for us. hehe
i will say this is the first time they have pulled this straw in 9 cruise's. (5 of which we had kids with us) i just found it annoying to file thru the dining room with kids in tow and total of 6 people. we usally left as soon as the meal was over, so everyone was still seated.
no we did not let it ruin our cruise, but thought it was a funny placement for us.

We have 8 people in our party and I am sure hoping we have a table to ourselves! Our last cruise we had 7 and were seated with 3 little old ladies. It didnt bother me as they were engaging conversationalist, but the one dinner I missed due to too many drinks in Coz my son loudly announced to them I was "drunk" in the cabin! Boy did they have questions the next night!
