Sorry its not open as yet. They have had a few test races but nothing serious has taken place. Its a really nice track though...horses and dogs.

Default Track again

Thank you St.Kittslovah and Paul58, I have been watching this with interest. Glad to hear they will be ready for dogs too. We are going to try to visit it on our cruise next year. I really appreciate the update!

Default Race Track

Here is a link to a review of the track with some pictures I've taken (I see someone I know must have posted the ones I took above) I was there this past weekend and it was great. I'll be there again this weekend. What a fun way to spend the day. They plan to be open officially next year for betting, etc.

On Sunday 13 Dec they had their first set of races......from reports I saw online about 3000 local folk turned out to the event.

This coming Sunday is another practice event......6 races, am told the president from the US Horse Racing Association will be coming down to give his blessing......I will keep you posted.

Maybe some day heading to the races can be an event for cruise ship passengers.

Smile Horses r running!

Thank you Paul58, Islandtime2 and St. Kitts luvah. The pictures are great and the venue is beautiful for racing and spectators.
The stables must be really nice. We are coming in on a cruise ship and plan on going to the races in Nov. (reason for the cruise was the track). Have they announced when greyhounds will run?
You are spoiled to be able to go the track often and what a backdrop for watching the sport. Hopefully the track is not too far from the cruise ship terminal. I think I might need to get a job as groom for the horses or trainer for the greyhounds, won't want to go home, St. Kitts has it all.

The track is about 20 miles(30 min taxi ride) from Port Zante.
