Default Is there anyway to find out whats on the menu?

Were trying to decide which days to go to Chops and Portofino. My Dh doesnt want to miss anything good in the MDR, so is there anyway to find out whats on the menu for which days?

Both Chops and Portofino should have the weekly dining room menu available. Just take a look and pick a day.

I don't think you will miss anything better in the MDR ..The WJ can be better some nights than the MDR...JMHO...

We were NOT able to get the dining room menu from Chops---they didn't have it....we just picked a night, checked the dining room menu that morning and decided to go to Chops....had there been a "not to miss" item on the MDR menu, we would have changed our reservation...it's not a big deal to do that!

Thanks Guys! Ill just plan chops and portofino, and if something looks like its not to be missed in the MDR then well figure it out then.

And yes ive heard that the MDR doesnt have too much going on. Maybe I can convince my Dh that another day at a specialty restuarant is the way to go

This is just me, but I always find that the prime rib offered in the MDR on the first night, the filet on the first formal night and the lobster/shrimp grill on the second formal night are the dishes I like...all other nights is a Chops or Portofino night for me.
Sometimes ( and always on the five day cruises, the lobster is offered on the last night at sea...not on the second formal night)

I'll give you the menus for a 4 night itinerary on the Majesty. I have also been on the 4 night Navigator & I believe that your menus will be very similar if not exact. I also agree that the best beef dishes are the prime rib & the fillet of beef. Fillet of beef is my favorite, excluding the $14.95 chops selection of course which is divine. I don't think you will see the lobster on the 4-night-er but you could ask the dinning room staff about it when you get on board.

Starters:

Strawberry, Kiwi and Pineapple Medley
Smoked Fish Tapenade
Vidalia Onion Tart

I have the menus from the 5 night NOS sailing. Let me know I can send post them.

We went to Portofino on night 3 and really only missed the warm chocolate cake.

If you have access to the Concierge Lounge the menus for the cruise are there for viewing.

When we have sailed, the specialty restaurants, both Chops and Portofino, had main dining room menus for every evening of the cruise and we were able to review them before making our reservations. If that is not the case on your cruise and you are in a suite or are Diamond Plus, the concierge may have copies or can possibly find out the schedule and applicable menus for you.
Unless there is one particular dish that you absolutely don't want to miss, I wouldn't be overly concerned and would book the specialty restaurants for the nights that best fit your schedule. I am not sure that the rotation of the menus is followed so strictly that having that sort of information from someone on an earlier cruise will be totally reliable.
