I found some photos of the Dream you all might be interested in. Beth what is the difference between the cove balconies and a regular balcony?

Default Hello!!!

Hey Friends!!

Hope everyone is doing well! I haven't been on CC in forever! It's just so disappointing to be on here with no cruise booked!

We were going to book the Dream for May, but had to change plans due to schedules. We're now planning to go on the NCL Epic this year and hopefully we will be joining you all on this cruise! Just to clarify what are the dates again? 9-10-11, is that right?

Hugs to all!
Precious

Hi Precious! How are you guys doing????

Yes, the DREAM is official for WATPOPWUA Part Deux....and we are sailing the Eastern Itinerary 9/10/11. You have lots of time to book, so I hope you and Mario join us again!!!

Remember, you don't have to have a cruise book just to pop in and chat!

Yvonne- the cove balcony's are lower on the ship and therefore extremely close to the water. I have read some reviews and people seem to love them. If watching the water does not make you sick, it should be an awesome balcony. Also, being low and if you get center ship there is much less movement. We thought we would give it a try. It's the first ever for a ship to have balcony's cut out of the hull. Way cooooool!!!

Double Dring penalty.

Carol -I got the same info from my PVP about using the voucher. He said to make sure I give him the information before final payment. I did not remember them saying we could use it for the deposit though.

Are we going to try and get one ginormous table at dinner? I would feel very sorry for our waiter, but it would be so much fun too. If not one big table, maybe they can let us have one section so we can all be together.

I would be up for that if it was "Late Seating!" Don't want to do early again!

Precious, great to hear from you! We haven't heard from you on the Freedom Roll Call. I created a DVD of our trip and there were some pics of you and Mario in the DVD. Did you want a copy. It's real low budget but a great way to relive a great cruise. If you want one, e-mail me at service@wiredcomm.com with your address. I will send one out as soon as I get a chance. It is free!

By the way, we are doing the Splendor on 9/12/10 if you would like to join the fun. Right now it's Betty/Paul, Beth/Keith, Glenn/Patty and maybe Carol/HS Friends and Geri/Mike!

Dianne, I think if you say 19 months it seems so much shorter!

I love the aft balcony and will probably book that again! Of course it the weather is rough on the Splendor I might change my mind!

Glenn your doing a great job selling our cruise to the other CC Peeps.
Now do we have any takers?

We need to start a business we all could work at part time and it will pay for our Cruise Addiction. Internet based you know.

Here is a link with some good information on the cove balcony -vs-regular balcony on Dream. Post #9 explains some of the drawbacks of the regular balconies. However, this is just opinions.

Good Morning Peeps. Keith and I were discussing balcony cabins again last night and have decided we are going to keep our cove. I think it will be interesting to be that close to the water. Anyone who is not in one themselves are welcome to come and check it out.

Are we the only ones who have booked it already?

Good Morning, All!! Heard back from our TA and I think we will go ahead and book today.

She said she can handle the groups, but before we could book we would need 8 cabins committed, then we would get one cruiser fare free. Also, she's almost positive that because of Early Saver Rates it would still be a $250. deposit since it's non-refundable. From what I've read here on CC, I think we'd need an official Cruise Critic Cruise to swing the $25. dep. We really don't need a "formal" Meet & Greet now that we already know each other and I don't know if the strawberries or photo coupon would be worth the hassle, do you??

I agree with Dianne that we don't need an "official" meet and greet...but I vote we do another cocktail party! That was fun and the gift exchange worked out great too.

Speaking of the cocktail party, is Debbie joining us on this cruise?

Besides, it will give us more phot ops for Glenn's next DVD!!!

I'm sure Debbie and Dave will join us - their anniversary is Sept. 11th so they always cruise around that time. I think right now she's so involved with her Official CC cruise in Oct., she's probably not thinking about Dream '11 yet!

I'm up for the cocktail party, in fact, over the weekend Kevin said for the next one we should just go ahead and do 2 hours worth - that hr. did go fast. I liked the gift exchange, too - we could just do inexpensive silly gifts. I still have the "raffle tickets!"

WOO HOO, now we wont feel so alone. I'm glad everyone is starting to book.

Dianne - I agree with you on the strawberries and photos. I don't think it is worth the hassle. That is exactly what I was discussing with my PVP. He said it's not really worth it all either. Although, I'm sure we could have 8 cabins and we could split the cost of the free one, the savings is still not enough. I also like Kevin's idea of two hours for the cocktail party. It will give us more time to drink and play games. It will be so fun now that we all know each other.

ML - I say yes on the gift exchange too. We can all come to some sort of agreement on what direction we want to go with the gifts. I'm all for fun, silly, gag type gifts.

What about a happy hour party the night before sail away? It was tons of fun!!!

Paul and I would like to take you up on checking out your balcony. Maybe we should do a cabin tour this time?

Sounds like a lot of fun. I like the idea of a gift exchange and I am just putting this out there but maybe something from your state? Silly is good also.

We have to have a get-together. It will be so much more fun now seeing old (no comment) friends and new ones we will meet on this cruise.

I posted some group cruise info over on the old Roll Call, but in summary I think we'd need to go directly through Carnival to get a group rate. I'm hoping Kathy, Blair, Cheryl, Sue, Stacey, Precious, and the rest of the gang check in soon to see the new cruise date, however, they may see it on Facebook!
Being booked sounds good enough to me. Love you, Now update your ticker.
