This thread is a great idea!! Wish I would have found it before I bid on Priceline. I used Biddingfortravel.com to get an idea of recent winning bids. Very helpful site.

Priceline
Today I won 3.5* Wyndham Miami Airport 2/8-2/9/10 $58. Including taxes and fees total = $73. Free shuttle to/from airport.

I started at $50 for a 3.5* Miami Airport area and got message saying if I upped my bid $14 I would get something. I declined and went back to bidding, using free rebid areas. $52, $54, $56 were declined. $58 got me the Wyndham. I had been trying for a 4* for days and bid up to $92 and got nothing. Since we just need a place for one night post-cruise, the Wnydham should work out fine.

How far a walk is it? Or did you take the metromover thing?

When we stayed at the Hyatt last May, I asked the doorman if there was a coffeeshop-type place for breakfast nearby, and he sent us to a place about a block away that had breakfast sandwiches - just fine.
I'm still bidding Priceline trying to get the Hyatt for April - $70 turned down last night.
BTW, used the metromover last visit to go to Bayside for dinner, very convenient. Some have concerns about using it at night, so we returned to the hotel with another couple and had no problems.

It is the Resort and Spa. With the info I had I was pretty sure it would be the Resort and Spa. With the price being so low I figured why chance another property with Priceline. Which Oasis trip are you on?

Just got The Hyatt Place Ft. Lauderdale/Airport North (3 stars) for April 9, 2010 . Priceline -bid of $71.00 + 16.08 taxes. Their current AAA rate for that date is 197.10, + taxes.

Just bid on a 3/12 star in Tampa downtown. I got the Sheraton Riverwalk for $52.00! Date is 5/22 for 1 night!

(I wanted this as we have stayed here before and it is a nice hotel. They have free airport shuttle and free shuttle to Coral Grove for some sightseeing. I would have also been happy with a downtown hotel.)

To book this hotel direct: $141.25 incl. taxes per room for a total of $282.50.

I saved $170!!! My family is thrilled that the kids will have their own room. After 7 nights of sharing, we will all enjoy that!

Priceline SUCCESS!! I hope I do that well in Puerto Rico!

Unable to get anything thru Priceline - tried for 2 weeks, and bidding upto $100.00 nothing accepted. We ended up booking with Hotwire 3 1/2 star for 74.00 a night Sheraton Suites in the Plantation area. Happy with the results!!

After reading up on CC about booking our pre-cruise hotel in Cape Canaveral and Priceline bidding, I just put in a $50 bid for Cape Canaveral for 5/9/10. After 2 unsuccessful returns, followed by a call from my credit card company to confirm my booking activities from today , I re-entered the $50 bid and got it! With taxes, $63.25. This is our first cruise, so I get pretty excited after completing each step of the process!
