Though I am not currently booked on the Splendor, it is one of the cruises that is on my "to do" list.

All the cheery reassurances fail to persuade me. I'll bet the ship is still filled with casino odors and displaying the most bizarre decor of any major cruiser, as has been the case since it was first launched.

I'm so glad to hear the Splendor is back! I spent 50 days on her for the repositioning cruise to Long Beach & it was one of the best experiences of my life! She's a fine ship and I was sick to hear of the damage to her. Glad to see you back at sea Splendor!

Dear Cruisers,
After reading ALL of John Heald's blog about the fall Splendor disaster, the heroics of the crew and management doing what they consider their everyday job and the pleasure of meeting a co-captain and some crew of the Splendor on my recent Paradise cruise, I couldn't help but book a passage to the Sea of Cortez on the retrofitted ship!
Do I normally cruise more than once every few years? No~ but I really wanted to salute Carnival for their efforts. See y'all May 8th!
