Default What IF Orient Line would continue they service!!

Just a thought as i was reading this intresting comments from budddawn
http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=675072
I too, can't understand why NCL doesn't seem to care about the 500,000 + Polo Club members. From what I have observed and experienced, neither does the Polo Club representitive on board or those in Miami.

Would one continue cruising with orient Line if that would continue, even with out MP as she is sold as we all know that.

Of course with different ship, or maybe smaller as there is no similar size ship than MP is on the market.

Itinerary, where you would one like to go?
Would that be big disappointment IF that couldn’t go to Antarctica?

Would different ship with current crew make you happy?

and like budddawn said why let go 500.000 loyal orient line customers if there would be possibility to continue..

only my thought's are not enough.

"obviously i have too much free time to think these thing while back home"

You have brought up the question that was asked by many people while on the reunion cruise. Why not get a newer small ship and transplant the crew?

Why spend millions of dollars advertising NCL and discard the thousands of customers already committed? Why risk the anger of these individuals who will share their feelings with at least five friends each. If NCL is so rich that this is unimportant to them then why did they not consider the market that they purchased from Gerry Herrod.

I asked the gentleman from NCL that was doing middle management training
onboard. I must say that he was the consummate company man. He said exactly what we have been reading from the NCL public relations department. Nothing new. I hope that someone out there has the card that he promised me. I certainly don't.

Most repeating pax would be happy with a comparable sized ship if it had the Marco Polo crew. Where in the world would we be welcomed back as we are on the MP. Yes the ship is the right size, it looks like a ship not as an "apartment barge" and is filled with the best crew on the seas.

In my discussions I heard so many people say "I will never, ever sail NCL".

Dear Franu

I know that many of MP loyal customer's are asking the same question, and as what i have heard there is indivitual person whou would love to continue Mr.Gerry Herrod dream what become so manys dream, but it's nothing to do with NCL as MP is soon gone, so like i said it would be indivitual and the ultimate question is would there be enough followers and im sure there would be,but would MP's legacy continue in the "Newer" ship even with the same crew?

What fascinates me is are NCL just happy to lose all those polo club members to other lines, or do they seriously think we will all move over to NCL ships ..... I don't think so!!!!

Hi Mancunian

Thank you for your contri, BUT what i'm trying to find out here is or has NOTHING TO DO with NCL,, every one knows already that MP has been sold and as NCL do not have ship to replace MP,,, Orient Line will be DEAD.

Like i said in the begining i have heard that there is some people who are looking for possibility to continue Orient Line or Similar with Majority of MP's crew and itenerary, but as MP is sold it must continue with different ship, and that is one of the key point,, as IT"S not MP,, would our beloved customer's from that 500.000 Polo club list follow that new consept???

Yes I would provided it was a ship of a similar size. We have just been on Arcadia - 2000 passengers and it is something we would not repeat. We are really going to miss the Orient, Marco Polo experience but on a larger ship it just would not work.

Default This is UP again and NEED your comments and suggestions

Very Good Morning again for very long time

OK, NOW we are looking for the ship size of 600 Guest and 300 Crew, based of old MP crew whom list i have and i am talking currently with few ship brokerage of the ORIGINAL Cruise line looking ships, so we are on mood again.

So i really would like to hear comments and suggestion or seasonal sailing as we are planing world cruise in different part of the world and in some ports day or 2 and some times cruises are effective a few days at sea as distance from seasonal cruising will re-locate from different areas.

SO NOW we are listen what you really want, and as soon our ship has been got and web page is opening, i will let you know immediately.
i will be here every day so please let us know what is in your mind about newer ship but most likely and hopefully we are getting our guests back and will continue what Mr. Gerry Herrod started in Orient Cruise Line.
