Updated: This is the current list of official two-letter ship designators, in the same order as on the Princess website page. You can see the designator in the URL for each ship's page.

Main fleet:-
  • CB - Caribbean Princess
  • CO - Coral Princess
  • KP - Crown Princess
  • DP - Dawn Princess
  • DI - Diamond Princess
  • EP - Emerald Princess
  • NP - Golden Princess
  • AP - Grand Princess
  • IP - Island Princess
  • RU - Ruby Princess
  • SA - Sapphire Princess
  • CP - Sea Princess
  • TP - Star Princess
  • SP - Sun Princess
The Small Ships of Princess:-
  • PA - Pacific Princess
  • RP - Royal Princess
  • TA - Tahitian Princess
  • OP - Ocean Princess
The list and the Princess website page now reflect the fact that when Tahitian Princess becomes Ocean Princess in December 2009, she will get a new designator after all.

Unfortunately no one gets any say in what would be good to be Sticky.

Globaliser: Eight Years of looking after the "Ship Designations" topic. Nice job!

Is this still current? Do the Regal and Royal Princess have the same letters? Someone was asking about the designations on a current 2014 thread and I am researching it.

Thanks!!

Lynne

A quick way to see the designation is on the Princess website.
Go to ships and when you pick a particular ship look in the web address bar and the 2 letter designation will be there.

And to make sure, I've just checked all the URLs again (as I also mention in the opening lines of each iteration of this post).
