Celebrity Silhouette Outstanding Holy Land Trip by chachaham
Booked this cruise while on the Eclipse during a Transatlantic voyage. Specifically due to the visitation of Egypt. We were disappointed when Celebrity cancelled Egypt due to the troubles there, but certainly understood. Flew LAX to Rome on Alitalia. Service was okay but economy was the most cramped of any plane we have been on. Trip to Rome was bearable but coming home was just terrible. Continue reading Outstanding Holy Land Trip
Liberty of the Seas Excellent Ship Excellent Cruise by WillieC
We cruised on LOS on the last cruise of the 2011 season from Barcelona the week of October 22 to 29. We were in a balcony cabin midship on the 7th deck. After spending two days in Barcelona prior to the cruise we proceeded to the dock around noon on the 29th. After dropping the bags with the porters we were checked in a very short time and ready to board. Interestingly, the security screening was performed by Barcelona port personnel and not those of LOS. Carnival Freedom Great Table-mates, Great Ports, Great Shows, Ugly Ship by chucktxa
As one who believes that there's almost no such thing as a bad cruise, I must say that this one came dangerously close. Inconsistent food quality and consistently hideous decor were the worst offenders. They could have ruined this cruise, had it not been for great ports of call, wonderfully-produced shows, and and some of the best dining companions I've had on any cruise. Also, the Freedom's crew was, in most cases, as friendly and professional as any I've encountered.Continue reading Great Table-mates, Great Ports, Great Shows, Ugly Ship
Norwegian Spirit BEST CRUISE EVER!!!!! by lexanna02
After reading tons of reviews on here, I was a bit concerned about sailing on the NCL Spirit. However, the Spirit far exceeded my expectations! Embarkation was typical...lines of excited people ready to get on the ship! From the first moment we stepped on the ship, we were greeted warmly & well taken care of. We especially appreciated that NCL never pushed alcohol, bingo, the casino, shopping, etc. While it was freely offered, we weren't constantly hounded. It was such a refreshing change from Carnival! Eurodam Pleasantly surprised by HAL (in a good way) by flvol77
Cruise: Holland America Eurodam Oct 22nd - Oct 29th Stops: Grand Turk, San Juan, St. Thomas and the Private Island in the Bahamas. Background: My wife and I are Dinks (double income, no kids) we live in South Florida around an hour at the most to Port Everglade. We are in our early 30's and live a busy lifestyle and we wanted to try something different, the options were a 10 day on Princess which we couldn't the time away to do that cruise, Carnival (not really interested in going back on a Carnival cruise) the Huge Royal ship that right now is overpriced and seems way too big for our taste and Holland America.
