Ft Lauderdale Hotels

I am going on the Carnival Freedom on 4/7/12 and will be staying one night in the Ft Lauderdale area. Can anyone recommend a nice, clean hotel that offers shuttle service to the Port Everglades port? Will be there all day so I would like to stay someplace that has a restaurant and possibly on the beach.
