I agree! The majority of the people on this point are so positive! I am also on the 19th cruise (will be my first ever) and I can't wait.

Default Monday Morning Watch

I can't wait until 4a.m. Monday morning to see the Enchantment sail past on her way to Baltimore moving just a tad faster than she did when she left...I could almost see her crutches.

I'm looking forward to our 19 Mar cruise...it will be our 5th on the Enchantment...and I'm looking forward to many more! Hooray for Captain Gus and his crew!

Does anyone know where Capt Ron (Anderson?) from the Grandeur is now. He told us he would be moving to the Enchantment when she came to Baltimore. Did that happen?

Do you mean Capt. Rob Hamstead, who used to be with the Grandeur and is from Rhode Island?...or is there a Capt. Ron Anderson as well?

I know the present Capt on the Enchantment is Capt. Gus Anderson and he just came onboard the Enchantment this past Saturday and when the Enchantment was suppose to leave......... yikes...... what a way to begin your shift for the next 3 months!

Are you kidding me lol. The drawers were opening and the ship was creaking LOL. Someone who has cruised would know that happens. Why didn't she mention the hangars banging back and forth in the closet to say how dangerous it really was. We've seen the deck closed signs on almost all the north east departure cruises we've taken. It's the nature of the north atlantic. And those seas didn't look that bad-I've seen worse.

The funny part was when she talked about the ship tipping. Another poster said her daughter said the rolling, which is perfectly normal, lulled them to sleep. I wish I could comment on that ridiculous story. I also hope others who complete this cruise will contact the fox station and tell the truth and their experience.

Heck, this was such a huge story that it didn't even make the CC news.

I know, right! I wrote RCI and told them about the CC thread and what a wonderful job they were doing and that I can't wait to sail on Enchantment.

I really hope someone contacts the news station also. Just a one sided article.

As I posted on the other thread about EN that it was posted on, I "liked" the story for FB and commented on my FB page about the falsehoods. It's another way to get the other side out, although my page is private.

How about you put yourself in their shoes for a minute. You've never been on a cruise before, you aren't getting what you signed up for, the ship is traveling on one engine through a major winter storm producing swells up to 20 feet. You are stuck inside on the ship for safety reasons. To top it all off, nobody is telling you anything. You have no idea what to expect. You've seen in the news pictures of the Costa Concordia on it's side, people are still missing.

Ever flown out of Syracuse Hancock Intl in the middle of a snow storm? Wanna talk about a roller coaster ride. I've flown hundreds of times for business and pleasure, and it doesn't matter how many times I fly, when I'm on a gulfstream turboprop flying through a snowstorm I'm fearing for my life. Put someone on that plane who has never flown before and see what they think of that scenario. On top of that, DON'T tell them anything about how its perfectly normal and they know what they are doing, they would not have left if it was unsafe, just leave it to the other passengers to make fun of them for fearing for their life...see if they ever fly again.

Now put yourself in that position on a boat surrounded by a bunch of pompous jerks who have been on 300 cruises before snickering and telling them what losers they are for being concerned. I'd just about say I'd probably never want to cruise again either, not because of the experience, not because of the ship, not because of the crew, but because people like you think they own the ship.

There's this little thing called EMPATHY that more and more people are forgetting every day. Not to be confused with SYMPATHY. They're not asking for sympathy, they are simply asking that people understand the position they were in and not judge.

That said, we are going on our first cruise on the Enchantment leaving on Monday. Looking forward to it...

There was absolutely no reason for them to go to FOX though. They just wanted to have a rant and stir up **** about it. On my first cruise, there was rough weather, but I certainly didn't fear for my life. The ship wasn't ploughing into rocks, it just hit a storm.

People like this would have moaned even more if the cruise had been cancelled, and besides, they got a free cruise out of it anyway.

Such ridiculous claims.....And to think that it even snowed on the ship outside of Maryland in Februrary What did they think, that as soon as they got on board and set sail they were going to be in the tropics?

Anyone who wants perfect conditions should never sail because no one controls the weather or the waves
