Default Local talents

With Crystal staying more overnights, I understand they will also involve some local talents to show local cultures.
Is there a way to know what kind of show will be on board?

I will be on Symphony V2211, and would love to see "whirling dervishes" in Istanbul (overnight) or Kusadasi.

Thank you for your kind info.

I'm guessing that this would not include whirling dervishes since they are offered as a paid excursion.

Patty is correct. Although there has been an occasional exception you will likely not find a local act brought on to compete if you will with a shore excursion.

Smile Thank you

Guess I would just have to find it on shore then. Thanks all!

Some time ago, a poster told us (by way of this board) that he/she went to see the whirling dervishes. The people had to stand and be quiet and observe as the dervishes see this as a religious ceremony.

Default Love the Local Show Talent!

Some of the best and most fun shows for me have been the local talent that comes on board while docked.
In Hobart, Tazmania we had a choir on the dock and the drum and bugle corps in the Show Lounge. Stunning!

Then in Hawaii, we had some kids, boys and girls dance Hula for us. The little girls and young men were astounding with the dance and cute quotient.

Yay.

Default on V 2210

My TA just informed that the Entertainment Manager said there will not be show of whirling dervishes on V 2211. However, they are scheduled to be performed on V 2210.
