Galveston Spring break timeline

Thinking of a cruise out of Galveston next year. Want to avoid the spring break crowd. When does it normally start to pick up in Galveston in March. May have to change cruise plans to Feb.

The major spring break for Texas schools will be March 11 - 15 (plus weekends on either side). I'd avoid those weeks and the ones on either side. You'll see that the cruise prices already reflect this fact.

Be warned that Galveston's MardiGras this year was the first 10 days of Feb so might want to keep that in your thoughts too.
