Default Formal nite ?

First RCI cruise. Can a man get away with dress slacks shirt and tie on formal nite?

I've noticed that shorter cruises are a bit more casual but on 7 night and longer cruises they are a bit dressier. My DH often wears a tux on cruises but on our last RCL 4 nighter he wore a shirt and tie and didn't feel awkward.

Dress pants and a collared shirt (no tie) are fine now even on Formal evenings.

Maybe lots of us wish things were still "the way they were" ... but they are not so just go with the flow.
