Cabin on the Spirit near the elevator noisy?
How is the sound proofing on the Spirit? I am looking at stateroom 214 which backs onto the elevator on deck 5 and I am a little worried about the noise form the elevator and perhaps the noise of people congregating right outside my door.
Does anyone have any insights on this issue?

Hi:
Just off the Spirit last week. I wouldn't be concerned about the elevator, but the stairs right next to your cabin were quite busy. They are carpeted, but you might hear noise (voices) from that area. Also, directly across from the elevator is the staff elevator, and that area was busy a lot. I'd move a few cabins in either direction if possible.

We recently had cabin 216 on the Pride. We never heard any noise from either the elevator or the stairs. Cabin 216 is also right next to both.

We had 117 on the Spirit and, like the others, had no problem with either the elevator or stairs. Actually a very convenient location and near the Launderette as well.
 Would stay in that area again.
