Snorkeling St Croix

I am trying to find info, but can't, is there any good place to snorkel in St Croix? We are on RCCL Adventure, and they do not really even offer a snorkel excursion excpet Buck Island. Any ideas?

There is supposedly good snorkeling at the Frederiksted Pier. There's a dive shop near the pier that rents equipment. I remember seeing on some website somewhere that snorkeling at the pier is one of the better snorkeling spots on St Croix.

Snorkeling at the pier while a ship is there is not allowed. Security will not let you. We contacted the dive shop, at the end of the pier about going with them & snorkeling while other people dived. They said they don't offer snorkel trips anymore. We were welcome to ride along, but they go to deep water, and as a snorkeler we wouldn't see much.

Take a taxi van to Cane Bay! Great snorkeling close to shore. Carambola wouldn't be a bad second choice (and a little closer to F'sted) Don't waste your time at Sandy Point unless you like looking at, well, SAND.

Yes, there's a dive shop right there that can hook you up with what you need. I used to live right around the corner from Cane Bay and snorkelled/ dove it almost daily. You'll love it!

FWIW, DW and I will be stopping off there in December as a HAL port of call. I'm making a bee line for Cane Bay. Nostalgia. :-)
