Hello "All" Rockin Royals

March 17th, page 72, post 1434 ... the topic was an invitation to any one on the ROYAL thread to re-write the lyrics to an old song from 1958 "Rockin Robin".

I revised the first verse and hope some of you will sign up to revise the other three verses. We only need three writers (or a team) to make this work. The writers have 17 months to play with this, and collaborate on the final version. Come on folks!
Later we can decide how we want to present our song. First we must find singers. Will they want to sing at Karaoke or at the Meet and Greet?
"Rockin' Robin" is a song written by Leon René under the pseudonym Jimmie Thomas and recorded by Bobby Day in 1958. It was Day's only hit single, becoming a number-two hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

Thanks Dorothy, I'm really happy with the cruises we're doing for the rest of 2012 since I'm not allowed any long car rides or airline flights. We've got 2 10 day cruises on the Emerald that I want to book, but started out Monday with 6 FCC's and now I'm out of them already. Had to book one Bermuda trip without one, but that doesn't matter b/c they don't give you anything. It was cheaper to go on the cruise than to stay in NJ for 4 days. If you want, John would be happy to help you with the countdown clocks, he's so good at computer stuff, all I want to do is throw the da-- thing.

Just returned from our cruise and when Marcia said she wrote a verse, with Dorothy's help i found the thread. Kudos to Marcia, great job! I'll let you know if and when we come up with something. For certain I,ll be willing to join in the singing (maybe i can convince Mark too). What fun!
