Hi there,
I'm cruising with my family next week. We are all first-time cruisers. Should we join the Crown & Anchor society? I originally thought it worked like a Frequent flyer program, but it does not appear so...I'm just looking for some quick guidance here. Can we join before the cruise, or do we have to wait until after? What are the overall benefits, or do these benefits only apply to those who cruise multiple times. Thanks in advance!! |

Here's a link to info on the program. If you have questions not answered on the site, you should probably post them on the Royal Caribbean boards. That's where you'll find fellow RCCL passengers. Happy Cruising!

Well since it's free to join I think its worth it to join...I signed up on the ship (there was a box to submit your application at the guest services desk) and after your first cruise you will be a gold member.
On your second cruise there will be a coupon booklet waiting in your stateroom and it has stuff like 2 for 1 drinks and $5 in the casino or something so it has a few benefits. If you plan to cruise RCI a lot and eventually become diamond or diamond plus you get extra perks and special boarding lines etc so I guess it is worth it in the long run especially since its free

You can't join until you've completed your first cruise....so take your vacation....then worry about it!

There's actually nothing to worry about. ![]() Yes, join the loyalty program - absolutely nothing lost and everything gained.

You also can't not join. There is nothing for you to do so don't worry about it. None of the cruise lines have loyalty programs that are so awesome that it makes a huge difference.
