Not too bad, a couple small leaks from the roof so will get to do some patching once the weather warms up (calling for a couple of inches of snow today )

Bad start to the day here, our workshop trailer was broken into over the weekend, not a good way to start the week. It has to get better, right??

Not too bad - about $1,000 worth of copper. Police said it they only take the easy stuff to move for drugs and the price of copper at recyclers now is thru the roof More of a pain in the bum than anything - had to cancel today's install job as I didn't know when the police would show up. Oh well, tomorrow is a new day

Not sure about the other

Time for some yummy crock pot Butter Chicken and watch the Sens hopefully put the Rangers out of their misery tonight. Doubt I will make it to the end of the Hawks game though - may PVR it to watch on FF with my morning coffee tomorrow.

Welcome to the sidelines Pat - another couple days and the sting and pain goes away.

This would be a bad time to bring up the Cubs 4-12 start I would think

When they didn't score in the first I started to get a really bad feeling Truth is I'm not so sure they would have gone far anyway.. I don't think crawford could have done the job.. And lets face it.. that Smith is really hot right now.. some of those saves were amazing...
Hey... 4-12 is a good start for the Cubs!!!!

Copper/metal thieves.......... LOW LIFE LOSERS!!! Get a freakin job!!!

In the 80's out here - gorgeous!

Busy - busy - busy with the gardens.....I'm using a young lady as a helper on Saturdays. Daughter of a friend...... she's only in her mid 30's, so I made her the official mulch bag mover!

Hey... 4-12 is a good start for the Cubs!!!!
I wonder how many people before the season started picked St. Louis, Phoenix, LA and Nashville as the final 4 in the west.

Hope the first day of the "off season" was ok. Now you can enjoy 3 pretty good game 7's without any stress

I agree. 2 detectives were in yesterday morning, said there is a rash of these break ins happening right now. Hopefully they are stupid and try and move the stuff to a local scrap metal recycler.

Still in a cold front here, first night at the trailer is going to be a low of minus 1 - we may delay opening weekend as I am not that hearty anymore

And another top seed bites the dust. I wish the games started at 6 though - I missed the OT winner again - fell asleep

No snow right now here but it is still cold, don't like running my furnace this late in the year.

Well, they are down to 8 now and no teams from Canada I made it thru the Sens Rangers game but didn't even attempt the Jersey game.

Friday, ahhhhhhh

We have had lots of rain this week so the old grass will need cutting tonight, good excuse to have a couple beers afterwards

Rain is something we could surely use down here.. It's still nice not having to mow the grass as much but we sure need it...
Now my Blackhawks "and" my mini Blackhawks are out of it.. There isn't anyone who I really like so , like you , I'll just sit back, relax, and watch the fireworks!!!
Easy weekend coming up.. no softball, no big projects, just "chillin out"

We are taking another truck load to the trailer tomorrow and Cindy is steam cleaning things. I will take beer and a rake and handle the leaves

I having trouble getting excited about watching Nashville vs Phoenix. It just doesn't seem hockey like . I don't like either of them, I don't hate either of them.

We had a beautiful day here. Got all the yard work done, Cindy did a power clean of the house and everything is all set for us neglecting the house now until Thanksgiving

Was pretty chilly at the trailer yesterday, when you can see your breath at 3pm, you know it is too cold to stay overnight. We packed it up around 4 and headed home.

Ready to face Monday, hoping this week doesn't start with having to deal with the police

Remember my last post about the "low-life metal/copper thieves"? The very next day, I read an article in our local paper about an 1880's metal jail, complete with 2 bunks and a toilet (very historic value, in a historic location here in the Springs) - that was taken and then cut up into pieces, and sold to numerous local scrap yards!!!

The 3 that were apprehended, well 2 of them had previous arrests for the very same thing - and were on probation!

A wonderful piece of Colorado Springs history is now gone due to these 3 yahoos!

Too busy with work....and all the aches and pains are back too! Steve, on the other hand, is immensely enjoying doing nothing all day long!

Retirement is a hard job, good to see he is coping well

Monday was better, only one small blip when I had to "fire" a customer. Have had enough of his moaning and groaning and calling my guys idiots so he got the "Sir, thank you for your business but we are no longer your heating and cooling company. Good Bye"

Lisa, that is too bad about the jail. The worst one here recently was a group of drug addicts who stole a whack of copper flower urns from a cemetery then tried to pawn them off at a scrap yard the next day
