There's some upsides to that proposal.....but a defenite downside = danger of increasing interference by the Cruise lines into a pool that,by defenition, is for tipping crew members...with a potential result being the lines using this pool as an extra source of ''revenue'' ( if some crew member does not meet target, where does HIS share go ?).
As always, crew tipping is a delicate subject...... Cheers
