Want to do a beach day here. Do you have to wait a long time to get a tender if you are going out on our own? Would it be easier to just do the cruise beach day and be guarateed an early tender? Thanks.

Naw....you may have to wait a few minutes, but it's not hours, by ANY means! There's absolutely NO REASON to pay for an "excursion" to a beach! You will have PLENTY of time doing it on your own! There are buses just outside the dock area....$2.50 pp, and the beach is only about a 10 min. ride.....
Tenders run about every 15 mins.....if you miss one, take the next. |

Just returned from a cruise on the Disney Fantasy yesterday. The wait for a tender was only about 10 minutes, and we were not booked on a shore excursion. That being said, the area around the tender landing in Grand Cayman was awful. Get out of there as quickly as possible.
You'll love the Fantasy, by the way! |

Thanks for the replies! Looks like we will go out on our own. We have and will do Cozumel beaches on our own. I was just nervous about the tender part of the equation!
