Anyone every stay at the sofitel in miami?

I've seen it from the freeway but haven't been inside. It looked really nice but there is nothing around it. If you stay there you will most likely have to eat there too. When are you traveling? You are a ways from the cruise port. Have you checked lastminutetraveldotcom? We just booked the 4 1/2 star Hyatt Regency downtown for $115 in December. It is about 2 miles from the port and there are a lot of places near it to eat. Just a thought.

I have stayed there a couple of times. Nice hotel, great service.
Next to the airport, but you won't even notice the air traffic.

Great hotel if you have a car (paid parking), because there is not much in the immediate area.
As I always have a rental car, I would certainly stay there if the price was right.

The Sofitel is nice, but you don't intend on having a rental car, then stay somewhere where you can walk to things or have reasonable access to public transportation.

Look for places on Miami Beach or downtown Miami.
